Lyric G.
Lyric Averi Glover is a passionate dancer, dedicated athlete, accomplished student, and compassionate young leader whose talents are matched by her heart for serving others.
Dance has been a part of Lyric’s life since the age of 2, when she began training at the Christina Cultural Arts Center. Over the years, dance has become more than something she loves, it is one of the ways she expresses her creativity, confidence, discipline, and joy. Whether she is dancing, singing, creating art, or performing, Lyric brings energy and heart to everything she does.
Her drive extends beyond the stage and into the classroom. Lyric consistently earns Distinguished Honors and was recognized as Warrior of the Month twice during the last school year. One of her proudest accomplishments was receiving her school’s 6th Grade Citizenship Award. Of approximately 708 students, only 55 were selected for the award ceremony, and Lyric was chosen as the Citizenship Award recipient for the entire sixth grade. Her teachers described her beautifully: “Lyric leads with kindness, selflessness, and heart.”
Lyric is also discovering her strength on the track. As a member of her school’s track team, she was selected to compete in the 4x200-meter relay, where she helped her team earn a third-place finish. Running has given Lyric another opportunity to challenge herself, work as part of a team, and demonstrate the determination and perseverance that are becoming trademarks of who she is.
Leadership and service are equally important parts of Lyric’s story. She has participated in Girls with Pearls for two years, developing her confidence, character, and commitment to uplifting others. She volunteers at the Christina Cultural Arts Center, participates annually in service at the Sunday Breakfast Mission, and has taken part in Cruises for a Cause to the Bahamas, where she spent time playing with and serving children at a local orphanage.
At her core, Lyric is a young person who leads with both talent and heart. She understands that accomplishments are meaningful, but how you treat people and what you give back matters just as much. Whether she is dancing across a stage, racing around a track, excelling in the classroom, or lending a hand in her community, Lyric strives to leave every space a little brighter than she found it.
With a love for dance, track, music, art, and service, Lyric continues to grow into a confident, well-rounded young woman who isn't afraid to work hard, try something new, and use her gifts to make a difference.
